Another Vocal Western ODM MP Admits Selling Ruto in the Region Is Becoming Difficult

Leaders from Western Kenya are now openly saying that it is becoming hard to convince people to support President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Titus Khamala, an ODM MP, said voters in the region are unhappy because they have not seen enough development projects from the government.

Khamala agreed with Wycliffe Oparanya, who last week admitted that asking people in Western Kenya to support Ruto again was becoming difficult.

According to Khamala, many projects in the region have stalled, with some contractors leaving construction sites before completing the work.

“If we want people to support two terms, then we must show them projects. Right now, that is becoming difficult,” Khamala said.

The MP also blamed some political leaders for misleading President Ruto by claiming they fully control politics in Western Kenya.

He said residents are tired of leaders who make promises without delivering real development.

The remarks have increased pressure on senior Western Kenya leaders in government, including Moses Wetang'ula and Musalia Mudavadi.

The two leaders have been criticised by some politicians who feel the region has not benefited enough from being part of the Kenya Kwanza government.

At the same time, leaders such as George Natembeya, Edwin Sifuna and Boni Khalwale have been calling for new leadership and fresh politics in the Western region.

The latest comments show the political challenges President Ruto may face as leaders begin preparing for the 2027 elections.
