Prime suspect behind the bizarre murder of a Catholic bishop, arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations detectives in Bomet County.

The arrest was led by the Bomet County police commander.

He said that the accused is being linked with the brutal killing, was safely placed in police cell aiding detectives with probes.

He added that the accused, who had been in hiding for days, was nabbed on Saturday in his hideout in Sotik, Bomet County.

He revealed that the suspect was being hosted by a relative in Utawala, Nairobi, and escaped to Bomet when he got wind that police were on his radar.

The accused identified as, Robert Nabea, allegedly hacked Thomas Kuto, a catholic Church bishop after altercation in bar.

The accused thereafter threw the body of the deceased in bush

Robert is being prepared to face charges on Tuesday next week.

Meanwhile, probes are ongoing into the murder incident.
