Pauline Njoroge Reacts After Sifuna’s Radio Interview Is Abruptly Canceled

A last-minute cancellation of a scheduled radio interview featuring Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has sparked widespread speculation and online debate.

The interview, which was set to air on Radio Jambo’s popular morning show, was reportedly called off just hours before broadcast.

According to a message shared publicly, the station cited “unavoidable circumstances” as the reason for the cancellation, offering no further details or immediate plans for rescheduling.

The development quickly caught attention after political commentator Pauline Njoroge posted a screenshot of the communication allegedly sent by the show’s producer.

Her reaction—“Watu wamepata tumbo joto, but we keep moving”—added a layer of intrigue, with many interpreting the phrase as a hint at underlying tension or unease.

Sifuna had been expected to address key national issues during the interview, making the abrupt cancellation all the more notable.

The lack of explanation has fueled a range of theories, from possible political pressure to internal scheduling or technical challenges at the station.

Supporters of the senator expressed disappointment online, with some questioning whether external influence may have played a role in the decision.

Others, however, urged restraint, noting that “unavoidable circumstances” could simply point to logistical issues unrelated to politics.

Cancellations of high-profile interviews on major platforms like Radio Jambo are relatively uncommon, especially without a clear follow-up plan. This has only intensified curiosity among listeners and political observers.

As of now, neither Sifuna nor the station’s management has issued an official statement clarifying the situation. It also remains unclear whether the interview will be rescheduled.

For many, the incident has raised broader questions about media independence, political sensitivity, and the dynamics between public figures and broadcasting platforms.

While the exact reason behind the cancellation remains unknown, the reaction it has triggered shows just how closely Kenyans are following the evolving political conversation.
