BREAKING NEWS: Justice Warsame Nominated to Join Supreme Court

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has nominated Justice Mohamed Warsame, 68, to fill a vacant seat at the Supreme Court of Kenya.

His nomination follows a two-day interview process where several candidates were considered. The decision now awaits formal appointment by the President.

Justice Warsame has been serving at the Court of Appeal since 2012, where he has built a reputation for fairness and dedication to the law.

His long career in the judiciary has earned him respect among colleagues and the wider legal community. Many see his nomination as a recognition of his experience and commitment to justice.

The Supreme Court plays a vital role in Kenya’s democracy, handling cases of national importance, including election disputes and constitutional matters.

Filling this vacancy is therefore crucial for the smooth running of the country’s highest court.

If appointed, Justice Warsame will bring over a decade of appellate experience to the bench.

His knowledge of complex legal issues and his steady leadership style are expected to strengthen the court’s work.

The nomination marks another step in ensuring that the Supreme Court remains fully staffed and capable of delivering justice to all Kenyans.

For now, the nation awaits the President’s decision, which will determine whether Justice Warsame takes up this new and historic role.
