Uhuru Mocks Ruto in Mt Kenya, Jokes What He's Been Doing When Wife Can't Bear Kids

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has appeared to criticize his successor, William Ruto, for frequently blaming him and the previous administration for current challenges.

Uhuru argued that leaders who remain focused on the past contribute little to national progress, urging the Kenya Kwanza administration to stop dwelling on history and instead concentrate on the future.

Drawing from his own leadership experience, Uhuru compared governance to driving, warning against leaders who constantly look through the rearview mirror.

He said an effective leader should keep both hands firmly on the steering wheel while focusing ahead. In his view, forward-looking leadership serves as the guiding direction a country needs when facing difficulties.

In a diplomatic tone, Uhuru wished the current administration well while encouraging leaders to prioritize solving present problems instead of revisiting past issues. Speaking in Kipipiri, Nyandarua County, he stated that leadership is like being entrusted with a steering wheel, whether in a county, constituency, or the country as a whole.

According to reports by The Star, Uhuru remarked that a good leader focuses on the road ahead rather than repeatedly checking the rearview mirror.

Addressing the culture of blame, Uhuru said constantly pointing fingers at former administrations achieves little. In a humorous remark, he joked that even family infertility could eventually be blamed on his government.

He added that whenever current leaders fail to fulfill their responsibilities, they often shift blame to the previous administration, something he said he has grown accustomed to.
