Nigerian singer Ifunanya Nwangene has died in a tragic incident, after allegedly being bitten by a cobra while asleep in her Abuja home.
The shocking death has since sparked widespread discussion online, with strange developments emerging during and after the transportation of her remains for burial.
According to reports, Nwangene passed away on Saturday, January 31, after the cobra bite. She was reportedly rushed to hospital where doctors administered antivenom in an effort to save her life. However, despite the emergency treatment, she did not survive.
Following her death, controversy arose after a Nigerian spiritualist claimed the snake attack might not have been accidental.
As reported by Legit.ng, the spiritualist suggested the incident could have been spiritually induced. He alleged that the singer had recently been involved in an online altercation where she supposedly insulted an older woman.
The spiritualist claimed the cobra was “spiritually dispatched” as punishment, warning social media users to be cautious about how they treat others online.
The bizarre events did not end there. After her passing, Nwangene’s father requested that her body be transported to Enugu State for burial. During the journey, another unsettling incident reportedly occurred.
A teacher identified as Uche Nworah shared on Facebook an account he claimed to have received from the singer’s uncle through a phone call.
According to the uncle, the ambulance carrying Nwangene’s body broke down along the Abuja Expressway.
As they waited for a replacement vehicle, a snake was allegedly discovered under the ambulance and was later killed.
Adding to the mystery, reports indicate that a snake handler later found more snakes both inside and outside Nwangene’s home.
The singer’s uncle reportedly questioned how the reptiles could have accessed the house, noting that she lived on the second floor, making it difficult to explain their presence through drainage systems or toilets.
“Had she lived on the ground floor, one might argue that snakes entered through drainage systems or toilets, but she lived on the second floor,” he reportedly said.
While the incidents could be coincidental, the unusual chain of events has left many questioning whether the tragedy was natural or linked to deeper spiritual beliefs.
